The Gruenwald Home is a historic edifice located at 7th and Main Street in Anderson, Indiana - the county seat of Madison County, Indiana. Gruenwald Home is independently owned and operated by the Historic Home Commission and the Parks Department of the city.The historic building was constructed in 1860 and was enlarged in 1870, by Martin Gruenwald. It is also furnished with the equipment and household goods that date back to late 1800s.The house, after its renovation with private funds in 1975, was placed on the National Register of Historic Places, in 1976.Since its opening after the renovation, the home has been operated as a museum. Gruenwald Home is used for civic meetings and private social events.
